Unfortunately, many people are unaware that Chiropractic care is covered under North Carolina Workmen's Composition law. Workmen's Compensation is available to any employee who is injured while at his employment. Injuries that are related to work are considered workmen's compensation claims. Initially, many injured workers are referred to a company doctor. Any injured worker MUST fill out an accident report at work. This is the FIRST thing an injured worker should do following an accident. You must report the injury to your employer. If your employer does refer you to a company doctor or another facility outside of work, you should attend this visit. However, in many cases workers suffer from Musculo-skeletal injuries such as neck pain, back pain, arm and leg pain, or headaches. These types of injuries are often unresponsive to common allopathic medicine. In other words, the employee often will see a medical doctor and be prescribed medication for a neck or back injury.
